KPSS - Keep Photos Simple, Stupid

KPSS (Keep Photos Simple, Stupid) is a simple Web Gallery system inspired by PBase and written by me in Perl.

Three image sizes - small/medium/large.
Image galleries can contain images and/or other galleries.
Access counters - images/folders.
User comments - images/folders. Can include HTML.
Slideshow - next/previous image in folder.
View gallery tree.
Related images - link to related images from the image page.
Private (password protected) galleries/images. Different users see different content.
Custom page styles using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
Email notifications - when new comments are added etc.
Smart pre-caching - most images appear instantly.
Image metadata (Exif) display if available - camera model, exposure info etc.
Fetch a random photograph to be displayed elsewhere.
Advanced WYSIWYG design. Go to the sandbox to see a demo (needs IE 6).
